# Introduction

> Welcome to the HyperWhisper help center. Learn how to use HyperWhisper for AI-powered speech-to-text transcription on macOS.

## What is HyperWhisper?

HyperWhisper is a native macOS application that uses a range of speech-to-text models (both online and offline) to transcribe your voice into text. It works offline with local models or online with cloud providers like xAI Grok, OpenAI, Groq, Deepgram, Assembly AI, ElevenLabs, and Mistral.
